Whether they’re “smiling” sleepily for the camera, catching up on their favorite television shows, visiting the park, or simply enjoying one another’s company, there’s very little that Harlow, Indiana, and Reese don’t document and share on a daily basis; and that’s just the way their 1.2 million Instagram followers like it. You see, these canine companions have captivated a nation – and we couldn’t wait to share their snaps and story with you all.
The dogs’ pet parent, Brittni Vega, refers to her perfect dogs as “sisters”, and it’s not hard to see why. These gorgeous dogs do everything together and seem to revel in one another’s company.
While their bond is now easy to see, it hasn’t always been that way; until 2013, Weimaraner Harlow had co-existed peacefully with her best friend Sage until, sadly, she passed away. Devastated, and wary of the effect that Sage’s death would have on Harlow, Brittni adopted Indiana, a Dachshund, soon after. Reese (Brittni and husband Jeff’s second Dachshund) joined the family just one year later, but was at first frozen out by Harlow and Indiana. Luckily, that ice soon thawed, and the family got used to life with three dogs. Indeed, the trio now has 1.2 million Instagram fans, more than 253,000 Facebook likes, and their very own book documenting their lives together.
Despite their closeness, Brittni is quick to point out that each dog is different: “It’s easy to put a personality with each of our dogs,” she explains. Is the dogs’ relationship as friendly as it appears on camera? “The pictures tell the real story. That is how they act,” Brittney confirmed.
