What are some good tips to potty train my kitten?
She keeps going next to the litter box, but not IN the litter box.
I had some luck in the past if the "deed" was done outside the litter box scooping it and putting it into the box. Not for too long just try to allow the kitten to associate the box and the scent together | 09.30.15 @ 16:59
Keep a careful eye on the kitty and scoop her up/put her in when she starts to go outside it. Also, perhaps put a scent in the box that would draw her to it. | 09.30.15 @ 17:01
I was going to say the same as Dan - that seems to be most effective way to get a kitten used to the idea of going in a new box. If you can catch the kitten sniffing around and ready to go, try getting them to box. If they've chosen the same place more than once and it is an acceptable place to put a litterbox, try placing it there, even if it's not your first pick. | 09.30.15 @ 17:02
Make sure o keep a close eye on kitty. If she tries to go outside the box put her in quickly and use a lot of praise and maybe a treat. | 09.30.15 @ 17:03
